5-Year / 50,000-Mile Limited Local Warranty
At Modern Brake & Alignment, we stand behind the repairs we perform. Qualifying repairs performed at our shop using new, premium-quality parts are covered by our 5-year / 50,000-mile limited local parts and labor warranty, whichever comes first.
This warranty covers defects in parts supplied by Modern Brake & Alignment and defects in workmanship related to the original repair.
Warranty coverage applies only to the original customer and the original vehicle listed on the repair invoice. This warranty is non-transferable.
What Is Covered
Covered repairs may include eligible:
- Brake hydraulic repairs
- Steering and suspension repairs
- Wheel bearings and hubs
- Cooling system repairs
- Alignment-related suspension components
- Electrical and mechanical repairs specifically noted as covered on the invoice
Covered warranty repairs must be inspected and performed by Modern Brake & Alignment.
Wear Items
Some parts are considered normal wear or maintenance items. These items are not covered for normal wear, but may be covered against manufacturer defects for a shorter period when applicable.
Examples of wear items include:
- Brake pads and shoes
- Rotors and drums
- Tires
- Batteries
- Belts
- Hoses
- Filters
- Fluids
- Wiper blades
- Bulbs
- Spark plugs
- Clutches
Wear items may carry a separate limited warranty of 2 years / 24,000 miles, unless otherwise stated on the repair invoice.
Maintenance Requirements
Some parts require regular maintenance to remain eligible for warranty coverage. Required maintenance may include inspections, fluid service, lubrication, adjustments, alignments, or other service intervals recommended by the part manufacturer or Modern Brake & Alignment.
Failure to maintain the vehicle or related systems may void warranty coverage.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Lack of maintenance
- Fluid leaks caused by unrelated components
- Fluid contamination
- Overheating
- Rust, corrosion, or seized components
- Accident damage
- Abuse, neglect, racing, or misuse
- Modified vehicles where the modification contributed to the failure
- Used, remanufactured, or customer-supplied parts unless specifically noted
- Repairs performed by another shop without prior written approval
- Towing, rental cars, loss of use, lost wages, or incidental damages
Major Components
Engines, transmissions, transfer cases, differentials, and other major drivetrain components may carry separate warranty terms. These terms will be listed on the repair invoice.
Commercial Vehicles
Repairs performed on commercial, fleet, delivery, rideshare, towing, or heavy-use vehicles are covered for 2 years / 24,000 miles, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Courtesy Loaner Vehicle Availability: Loaner Vehicle Disclaimer
Modern Brake & Alignment may provide courtesy loaner vehicles to qualifying customers during certain repairs or warranty services. Loaner vehicles are offered as a convenience and are subject to availability, driver eligibility requirements, insurance verification, and management approval.
Loaner vehicles are not guaranteed and may not be available at the time of service. Warranty coverage does not include the provision of a loaner vehicle, rental vehicle, rideshare service, towing reimbursement, loss of vehicle use, lost wages, lodging expenses, or any other incidental or consequential damages.
Customers receiving a loaner vehicle may be required to provide a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and sign a separate loaner vehicle agreement before use.
Warranty Claim Process
To make a warranty claim, the customer must contact Modern Brake & Alignment and bring the vehicle to our shop for inspection. If the failure is determined to be covered, Modern Brake & Alignment will repair or replace the covered defective part and related labor at no charge.
